For Monday, October 12, 2015:
“If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing.”
This has proved true for me, at least when I write fiction, and it’s one reason I don’t work well from outlines. When I do use one, I always end up straying far from it. I do make notes, but I leave them open-ended and sometimes don’t even use them.
What is your experience? Think back over the pieces you’ve created — artwork, writing, cooking, furniture, etc. Can you identify those you’ve created from your head and those you’ve created from your heart?
